You know, I’ve never really done one of these. It’s not often I take the time to process LIFE like this. What did 2014 mean to me? I don’t really know. I had some pretty amazing adventures with some pretty awesome people, that’s for sure.

2014 was a year in which I finally stopped making excuses and talking about things I wanted to do, and instead just doing things. I’ve always spent a lot of time in the outdoors, but I kicked it up a notch in the last 12 months. Probably more like several notches. And then bought a new measuring stick. It’s funny how your life changes when you decide what’s important to you and make the sacrifices to that end. It’s no wonder my friends often wonder if I have a day job.

I Went to New Zealand

The year kicked off in New Zealand, a spur of the moment flight purchase. Crossing this one off my bucket list pretty much set the tone for 2014. I spent a month by myself in the land of sheep and hobbits. It was my first time traveling abroad for an extended period, and it couldn‘t have been better.
